BrightStar Care in Orland Park is looking to hire a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a home health case in South Chicago Heights, IL. Care is for a 20-year-old female with G-Tube, Trach, Vent, VP shunt and additional complex care needs. We are hiring for evening shifts 5p-11p any days of the week. Rate is $34 an hour.
Requirements
- Pediatric or adult g-tube, trach and vent experience
- Unencumbered license as an LPN in the state of Illinois
- Certified CPR
- IL Mandated Reporter
- TB skin test, chest x-ray, annual physical
- Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Hoyer in the home.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric or adult patients during shifts, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Tube Feeding, Trach Suctioning and Vent Monitoring, as needed. (case by case scenario)
- Maintain accurate patient records (Notes and charting)
- Respond promptly to emergencies, utilizing basic life support skills and airway management techniques.
