Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Clinical Documentation QA Specialist to uphold the integrity and accuracy of medical records within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in health information management and clinical documentation processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and industry standards. As a key member of our team, you will oversee quality assurance activities related to clinical documentation, support regulatory compliance, and promote best practices in health information management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough reviews of electronic health records (EHR) and medical records to verify completeness, accuracy, and adherence to policies.
- Collaborate with care team to improve documentation quality, ensuring compliance with health regulation policies and medical coding standards.
- Implement quality assurance protocols for clinical documentation processes, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain detailed records of audit findings, discrepancies, and corrective actions taken to ensure ongoing compliance with health information regulatory standards.
- Support training initiatives aimed at enhancing staff understanding of healthcare privacy protection, medical terminology, and records management best practices.
- Monitor updates in healthcare privacy laws and regulations to ensure organizational policies remain current and compliant.
- Assist in the development and refinement of procedures related to electronic health records (EHR) management and revenue cycle management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in health information management or medical records review within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare privacy protection laws such as HIPAA or equivalent regulations.
- Experience with health regulation policy knowledge and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for identifying documentation discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and provide clear guidance on documentation standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
