Duties
- Prepared authentic Italian sandwiches using fresh, high-quality ingredients, including house-made bread and imported Italian products.
- Worked the cook line, assembling made-to-order sandwiches while maintaining speed, accuracy, and presentation standards.
- Delivered exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, answering menu questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Operated the cash register, processed payments, and handled cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Maintained food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen, food preparation, and dining areas.
- Restocked ingredients and supplies to support efficient daily operations.
- Assisted with opening and closing procedures, including food preparation, cleaning, and equipment setup.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to workplace safety protocols
- Handle food safely by following proper handling procedures, manual lifting techniques, and using personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support dietary department operations by adhering to dietary requirements and assisting with food production tasks
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely meal delivery while maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation
Qualifications & Requirements
- Authorized to work in US.
- English required.
- Experience in food preparation, cook line operations, and sandwich assembly preferred, not required.
- Willingness to learn all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cook line, cashiering, customer service, and cleaning.
- Strong customer service and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in operating cash registers and processing customer transactions accurately.
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to changing business needs.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
- Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting supplies as needed.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs require.
- Willingness to travel to Deerfield Beach location for training onboarding and operational needs.
