Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our Sgt. Pepperoni's Pizzeria and on/offsite Majestic catering team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and execution of delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment with great multi-tasking skills and the ability to communicate and give directions to counter/banquet staff. Candidates should possess knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation, must have strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and be a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all areas of food production as needed, including preparation, cooking, and presentation.
-Prep work includes: preparing dough, making fresh sauce, chopping up toppings such as meats and vegetables.
- Must know how to toss dough, follow established recipes and turn out a consistent product.
- Ensure adherence to proper food handling and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and grinders effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Help with inventory management and ordering supplies as necessary
Experience:
- At least 3 years previous experience in a food service or dietary department is preferred
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support fellow cooks
- Proficiency in cooking techniques and recipe execution
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Experience with menu planning is a plus
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods
- Understanding of the food industry and dietary aide responsibilities
