We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our team and provide comprehensive primary care services. Spanish fluency is preferred for this position.
Position: Nurse Practitioner (APRN)
The Nurse Practitioner (APRN) will play a key role in providing exceptional primary care to our patients. This position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage a diverse range of patient needs, and a commitment to high-quality care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of patient care, from assessment to treatment, while maintaining strong communication with both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients with acute and complex chronic health needs, ensuring timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Take full accountability for patient care and outcomes, collaborating with specialists when necessary and staying actively involved in the detailed care of each patient.
- Engage with the hospitalist team for patients admitted to the hospital, ensuring continuity of care. (TCM)
- Perform thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and offer health promotion and care coordination for patients.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient, including observations during examinations and updates on treatment plans.
- Educate patients about their health conditions, medical procedures, and treatment options in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner.
- Explain test results and provide patients with a comprehensive plan of care, ensuring they understand their diagnosis and the next steps in their treatment.
- Provide patient-centered care, fostering a comfortable and supportive environment for all patients.
- Respond to patient inquiries promptly and professionally, both in person and over the phone, ensuring satisfaction and timely follow-up care.
- Support patient satisfaction by advising on health improvements, encouraging regular follow-ups, and promoting preventive care.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring privacy and sensitivity in all aspects of patient care.
- Collaborate regularly with the Office Manager and clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and effective patient care delivery.
Additional Duties:
- Communicate with the Office Manager and staff to ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Perform responsibilities with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs, without assistance.
- Adhere to all compliance regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA, to ensure the clinic meets the highest standards of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) licensure in the state of Florida .
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and staff.
- Fluency in both English(verbal and written) is required. Spanish (verbal and written) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Current DEA license for prescribing controlled substances is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
