Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic DIR Floortime Player to join our dynamic team dedicated to supporting children with developmental disabilities, including autism. Duties
- Facilitate engaging, child-led play sessions that promote social-emotional development using DIR Floortime techniques
- Observe and assess each child's interests, strengths, and challenges to tailor interactions accordingly
- Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans and therapeutic goals
- Collect and document data on child progress, behaviors, and responses during sessions for ongoing analysis
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed
- Maintain accurate medical records, behavior logs, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support behavioral health initiatives by implementing behavior management strategies aligned with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles
Qualifications
- Experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or special education is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and care plans related to behavioral health
- Strong skills in data collection, record keeping, and reporting to track progress accurately
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working with children and families
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA guidelines ensuring confidentiality of medical records and personal information
- Patient-centered approach with a passion for teaching, caregiving, and supporting children's growth through play-based methods
Pay: $25.00 per hour
