Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as an Experienced DA or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will elevate patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist dentists in delivering exceptional dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean, efficient, and compliant clinical environment. Your skills in chairside assisting, medical and dental documentation, and infection control will be instrumental in providing top-tier dental services. We work Tuesdays 8:30-3:30pm, Thursdays 11:30-7:30pm and Saturdays 8:30-3pm with patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry with precision and care.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are ready for use.
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Manage patient records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, accurately documenting medical history, treatment notes, and medical coding.
- Perform chairside assisting with aseptic techniques while monitoring vital signs and patient comfort throughout procedures.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer their questions confidently using clear dental terminology.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following strict infection control standards and OSHA guidelines.
- Support the dental team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation to ensure seamless clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Positive Attitude with yes mentality.
- Coachable
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license with current certification in CPR.
- Proven experience working in a busy dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus.
- Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners effectively.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
