Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide both clinical and administrative support to help ensure high-quality patient care and efficient daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients while preparing them for examinations.
- Record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, collect specimens, and complete other clinical duties as permitted by state regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Process prescription refill requests and communicate with pharmacies.
- Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms.
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and basic medical terminology.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
