If yes, then bring your talent and skills to F.E. Moran ! We have a new opportunity in Northbrook, IL for a Shipping and Receiving Shop Assistant. As the Shipping and Receiving Shop Assistant, you will assist in the day-to-day running of the tool room and shop, supplying the necessary equipment and materials.
You Are:
- EXPERIENCED: Able to read and understand shipping/receiving documents; prior experience and ability to operate a forklift
- KNOWLEDGEABLE: Able to read and use a tape measure to measure and cut materials to specific measurements
- A COMMUNICATOR: Effectively communicate both verbally and written to varied levels of audiences
- ORGANIZED: Able to prioritize and follow up to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- FLEXIBLE: Possess a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record; able to travel to job sites as required
What you’ll do:
- MANAGE: Assist in the shipping, receiving, handling and storing, and delivering of equipment, materials and supplies
- HANDLE: Lift inventory, bend and stoop to stock, carry and move materials, and load and unload trucks
- PUT SAFETY FIRST: Demonstrate understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices, both in the shop and on job sites
- BUILD RELATIONSHIPS: Maintain good relationships and communicate with superintendents/foremen regarding their needs on job sites
