MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma (Some college classes leading to Associates Degree preferred.)
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Computer skills helpful.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, students, and parents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES):
- Willing to participate in training to use in classroom.
- Provide general academic and behavioral support in small group instruction
- Assist in general education settings
- Toileting and personal care
- Carry out the written objectives of a student’s IEP, with assistance.
- Carry out other duties, not specifically mentioned.
