Job Summary:
We are seeking a truly experienced and genuine handyman.
The Handyman, under the direction and supervision of the Cumberland team, is responsible for maintaining, correcting deficiencies, and/or making repairs to all homes & structures within the Estate. Continuous hands-on work is required.
Duties Include:
- General repairs across a variety of disciplines, including:
- Painting/patching plaster and gypsum walls
- Exterior repairs to siding, flashing, roofing and windows
- Interior light carpentry repairs, caulking, etc.
- Periodic maintenance of floors, HVAC systems, plumbing and electrical systems
- Replace or repair fixtures as needed
- Responsible for general cleaning of the engineering spaces.
- Experience working in historical homes and maintaining authenticity is preferred.
- Typical work hours are from 7:30am to 4:00pm and after hours as required for time sensitive projects and/or emergency response.
- Experience with proper hanging techniques for art installation

Emergency Response:
- Maintain preparedness for an emergency response to flood, fire, power outage, and storms.
- Respond to project emergencies.
Teamwork & Customer Service:
- Maintain customer service standards as set by the Hospitality Manager and General Manager.
- Display high morale, integrity, loyalty, and professionalism at all times.
- Be available for overtime in special circumstances in order to complete projects or meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on property and facilities maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or residential property management environments
- True handyman skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
