Field Service Mechanic (Fleet & Equipment) Company Truck Provided
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Field Service Mechanic to support a growing fleet of trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.
This is a mobile position with a fully equipped service truck provided. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues in the field, keeping our fleet operational, and working closely with our Fleet Manager to maintain a high standard of reliability across all assets.
If you can troubleshoot problems, work independently, and take pride in doing things right the first time, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Service vans, F-550s, and medium-duty work trucks
- Trailers (equipment, dump, vacuum excavation, etc.)
- Construction equipment (excavators, skid steers, telehandlers, etc.)

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshooting 12V electrical systems
- Repairing brakes, suspension, and drivetrain components
- Servicing trailers (brakes, wiring, running gear)
- Performing basic equipment repairs and coordinating vendor work when needed
- Completing detailed service documentation for all work performed
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability
- Experience working on trucks, trailers, and/or construction equipment
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Good communication and ability to report findings clearly
- Someone who takes the time to do things right, not rush through jobs
This Role Is NOT a Good Fit If
- You need constant direction or supervision
- You rush through work and miss details
- You are not comfortable diagnosing issues before replacing parts
- You prefer strictly shop-based work
Additional Details
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Occasional overtime may be required depending on workload
- Service truck may be taken home depending on location and operational needs
