We’re seeking a Production Supervisor to support production, safety, quality, sanitation, and operational performance within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. About the Role
In this key leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing production activity, ensuring lines are running efficiently, maintaining quality standards, supporting food safety requirements, and leading daily shift execution. You’ll work closely with production teams, quality, sanitation, and plant leadership to ensure operational goals are met safely, efficiently, and in line with food manufacturing standards.
What You’ll Do
· Ensure production lines are running safely, efficiently, and effectively
· Monitor daily production performance, operating results, and efficiency metrics
· Maintain product quality parameters and ensure products meet required standards
· Support line start-ups, shutdowns, and daily production transitions
· Drive a continuous improvement mindset across the shift
· Plan, organize, and prioritize daily production activity
· Support timely completion of shift objectives, production targets, and project work
· Promote strong housekeeping standards across the production area
· Ensure compliance with plant Good Manufacturing Practices
· Support safety, sanitation, and food safety requirements throughout the shift
· Conduct and support safety audits as required
· Monitor, document, and take appropriate action related to Food Safety Plans, Food Quality Plans, and prerequisite program requirements
· Report food safety and quality issues to management
· Partner with quality, sanitation, maintenance, and operations teams to resolve production issues
· Communicate shift performance, production updates, and operational concerns to leadership
· Support employee training, coaching, and development on the production floor
· Demonstrate urgency, initiative, and problem-solving when issues arise
· Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
· 4-year degree preferred in Food Science, Management, Supervision, Food Manufacturing, or a related discipline
· 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related industry preferred
· 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
· Technical knowledge of food manufacturing equipment
· Strong understanding of production operations, line efficiency, product quality, safety, and sanitation
· Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to think independently and make decisions quickly
· Strong sense of urgency with the ability to proactively solve problems
· Ability to display initiative, ingenuity, and accountability
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
· Willingness to complete on-the-job training related to HACCP and food safety requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities
· Direct supervision of production employees on assigned shift

Work Environment
· Food manufacturing environment with exposure to active production areas
· Work may involve time spent on the production floor, in office areas, and across plant operations
· Exposure to production equipment, sanitation activity, quality checks, and operational reporting requirements
· Role requires regular interaction with production employees, supervisors, and plant leadership
· Required use of PPE and GMP-compliant attire where applicable
Physical Requirements
· Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time, whether sitting or standing
· Ability to regularly walk throughout the production facility
· Ability to constantly use fingers to operate a computer or other office equipment
· Ability to use hands to handle, feel, and operate tools, equipment, or documentation
· Ability to reach with both hands and arms
· Ability to visually detect, perceive, or recognize objects at near and far distances
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other individuals
· Ability to occasionally crouch
· Ability to occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 lbs
