Purpose: This full-time, 35-hour/week semi-skilled position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and general condition of the interior and exterior of apartment buildings and grounds. This position supports property operations by completing routine maintenance tasks, preparing units for occupancy, and responding to maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Job Functions:

Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance-related tasks.

Prepare vacant units for occupancy in a timely manner, including cleaning, repairs, and inspections.

Maintain building interiors, common areas, and grounds to ensure cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal.

Complete assigned work orders accurately and within established timeframes.

Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including landscaping, snow removal, and debris removal, as needed.

Utilize hand and power tools safely and appropriately in the performance of maintenance duties.

Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, residents, vendors, and other individuals inside and outside the organization.

Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in an on-call rotation, as required by property operations.

Follow established safety procedures, policies, and maintenance standards.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Demonstrated experience in a maintenance or facilities-related role, skilled tradesperson experience preferred.

Must possess and maintain a valid PA Driver’s License and have access to a reliable personal vehicle.
Physical Requirements:

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

The employee must be physically able to access apartments, common areas, and grounds. Job duties require standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.

The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
