The paraprofessional outreach worker’s objective is to optimize the home environment for the physical and mental well-being and safety of the children who have been or are at risk of being abused/neglected. This is achieved by building on family strengths and empowering parents. Emphasis is on home and supervised visits in which parent-child relationships are explored and positive parenting skills are taught with the goal of parents incorporating these skills into their behavior. The Outreach Worker must demonstrate an active commitment to Catholic Charities Mission and strives to incorporate the four Core Values in all aspects of daily work.
EDUCATIONAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field from an accredited university. No work experience required.
EMPLOYMENT CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: CAN Clearance,Hawaii/National Sex Offender Clearance, Hawaii State Criminal Check, Driver’s License, Access to Vehicle with Current Valid Registration, Safety Check, and No-Fault Insurance, Driver’s Abstract, Education Verification
COMPENSATION: $20.74 - $23.31
