Pay: $22-24/ hour
Schedule: Part-time/on-call; full-time opportunities based on school needs
Tradewind Subs (Tradewind Recruitment U.S.) is hiring Paraprofessionals, Substitute Staff, BIIs, and other school support professionals to work with K–12 schools throughout Los Angeles County.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students in classrooms, recess, lunch, and transitions
- Support classroom instruction and student learning
- Provide 1:1 and small-group academic/behavioral support
- Assist students with disabilities and follow IEP/school plans
- Support English language learners and other specialized populations
- Promote positive behavior and maintain a safe environment
- Follow school policies, emergency procedures, and mandated reporting requirements
- Communicate student concerns/progress and complete required documentation
Requirements
- 6+ months of recent experience working with children or adolescents in education, childcare, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or youth programs
- DOJ/FBI Livescan fingerprint clearance
- TB risk assessment/test
- Valid work authorization/I-9 documentation
- Verification of applicable credentials, permits, or certifications (e.g., ABA training)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively supervise students; ability to lift/assist up to 25 lbs.
