About the Role
We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist with strong experience in employment law and benefits administration to support our multi-state construction operations (NV, CA, and surrounding states). This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring compliance, advising leadership, and managing complex HR functions in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who understands the “why” behind HR processes and can apply HR law in real-world situations.
You will serve as a key partner in managing processes, fostering positive employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. You will help shape our organizational culture, support talent management strategies, and streamline HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- 5+ years of HR experience (construction industry strongly preferred)
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including California and Nevada labor laws
- Oversee benefits administration (health, dental, vision, life, 401k, etc.)
- Lead open enrollment, benefits audits, and vendor coordination
- Maintain compliance with ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA
- Manage and support workers’ compensation and insurance claims.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, discipline, and investigations.
- Review and improve HR policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes as needed
- Experience managing benefits programs and working with insurance brokers/vendors.
- Experience handling workers’ compensation and insurance claims
- Ability to interpret and apply HR laws (not just follow checklists).
- Strong bilingual communication for effective employee relations, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong working knowledge of:
- California & Nevada labor laws
- Wage & hour compliance (meal/rest breaks, travel time, final pay, etc.)
- Benefits compliance (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA)
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
