Position overview
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented overnight housekeeper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of our residential treatment facility during overnight hours. A significant portion of this role involves laundry — washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and client clothing in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Operate washers and dryers continuously throughout the shift; wash, dry, fold, and distribute client linens, towels, and personal laundry
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry room at all times
- Sanitize and clean common areas including hallways, bathrooms, lounges, and dining areas
- Mop, sweep, and vacuum floors throughout the facility
- Empty and replace trash and biohazard bins in designated areas
- Restock restroom supplies, paper products, and housekeeping essentials
- Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or unusual activity to the on-duty supervisor
- Maintain a calm, respectful demeanor when interacting with clients and staff overnight
- Follow all infection control, HIPAA, and facility safety protocols
Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or laundry experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and stay on task during overnight hours
- Comfortable working in a behavioral health, substance use, or mental health treatment setting
- Compassionate, non-judgmental attitude toward individuals in recovery
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, push laundry carts, and stand/walk for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to report for overnight shifts on time
- Must pass level 2 background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED preferred
