Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Take Off Estimator to join our demolition team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing material take-offs, analyzing project plans, and walking jobs to support successful project bidding and execution. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and aligned. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the planning and budgeting phases of construction projects, utilizing your technical skills and industry knowledge to drive project success.
Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify all demolition scopes.
- Use Company Cam and Bluebeam software to perform detailed take-offs.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.
- Help Develop comprehensive estimates that include labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and contingency allowances.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals.
- Compile Time and Material Billing
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, revisions, contracts, and related documentation for future reference.
Skills
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review and markup.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
- Deep understanding of construction estimating principles, including quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
- Knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and project management practices.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, clients, and suppliers effectively.
