Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance that meets project specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality results on residential, commercial, and industrial projects, contributing to the overall success of our construction efforts. Responsibilities
- Apply joint compound, tape, and other finishing materials to drywall seams, corners, and surfaces with precision and efficiency
- Sand and smooth finished drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work
- Install corner beads, trims, and other accessories to ensure durability and aesthetic appeal
- Inspect completed drywall work for imperfections and make necessary touch-ups or corrections
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and quality standards
- Operate hand tools such as trowels, knives, sanders, and power tools safely and effectively
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute finishing tasks according to project specifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction trades with a strong understanding of drywall installation processes
- Familiarity with bluebeam software for digital blueprint reading and project documentation is a plus
- Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating practices enhances your ability to contribute effectively
- Experience with construction inspection ensures quality control throughout the project lifecycle
- Skills in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Basic understanding of related trades such as plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, welding, roofing, concrete finishing, glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, painting, restoration work, heavy equipment operation, and fabrication is advantageous
