Brightstar PianoForte is looking for a piano teacher to complement our highly qualified team of music educators. We provide a strong platform for music teachers to build their teaching practice and student roster while delivering high-quality lesson experiences to our clients. Our mission is to cultivate a comprehensive music education program to help our students discover and develop their musical talents. We're looking for dedicated teachers who influence young students with a thorough process of music learning and growth in musicality for the whole intellectual development.
Salary: $42.00 to $55.00 /hour

Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and tailor instructional approach in relation to individual students' needs and abilities in accordance with the curriculum of Brightstar PianoForte.
- Acquire appropriate teaching materials and resources to meet students' learning goals and styles.
- Be available to travel to offer private/group lessons at the student's homes in the areas clients request.
- Be available to teach lessons at your home studio or online virtual lessons with all necessary equipment.
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and clear interpretations with thoroughly pedagogical techniques to teach our students at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.
- Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, etc.) as clear guidelines for students to practice with your weekly expectations in every lesson.
- Work with the principal teacher to prepare our students for National Piano Guild assessments and annual recitals.
Qualifications Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music with 2 years of experience in teaching private or group music class settings.
- Be knowledgeable to teach students music theory, aural skills, and proper physical techniques and postures.
- Be able to teach lessons at your home-based studio is a PLUS.
- Have a reliable vehicle to travel to students’ houses for families who inquire in-home lessons.
- Love working with students of all ages, especially children 6-14 years old.
- Have performance experience in both an individual and ensemble setting.
- Be able to travel to offer private/group lessons at the student's houses in the ZIP code areas: 92126, 92127, and 92129 is a PLUS.
- Be an excellent communicator in both verbal and writing.
- Be punctual, organized, and detail-oriented to thrive in a fast-paced teaching environment.
- Must be patient, enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated to the students.
- Available to work anytime during the hours of Monday-Friday 8 am - 7 pm and Saturday/Sunday 8 am - 5 pm timeframes (Self-determined schedule).
