We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher (ESN & ECSE) for an on-site contract position in Patterson, CA, for the 2026–2027 school year.

Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week / 30-minute unpaid lunch included / Standard school hours
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 2027, with possible extension
Credential Required: Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mod/Sev Support Needs or ECSE)
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum and with developmental delays.
- Adapt instructional materials and activities using curriculum development strategies and educational technology integration to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, parents, and other professionals to support student progress through team-based planning and intervention.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and behavioral therapy strategies, creating a safe and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mod/Sev Support Needs or ECSE) required
- Proven classroom experience working with students with disabilities in elementary school settings; experience with autism spectrum disorders support is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and classroom management techniques tailored for special education environments.
