Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage import and export shipments while ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective transportation solutions. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, preparing shipping documentation, communicating with customers and vendors, tracking freight, preparing quotations, and resolving logistics issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000/YR (DoE) + benefits
Location: Atlanta, G A
Hours: Monday to Friday; 8:30AM to 5:30PM
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate domestic and international import/export shipments, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective transportation based on customer requirements.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, customs information, invoices, quotations, and other required paperwork to ensure compliance and efficient shipment processing.
- Communicate and coordinate with customers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and other third-party vendors to facilitate smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor shipment status, provide timely updates to customers, and resolve shipping issues, claims, and service inquiries as needed.
- Negotiate freight rates and vendor pricing to prepare competitive, profitable quotations while maintaining service quality.
- Maintain shipment records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other logistics documentation in an organized and accurate manner.
- Support continuous process improvement by identifying efficiencies, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and performing other duties or special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Japanese (spoken and written).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics operations, import/export, freight forwarding, or a related field preferred.
- Highly motivated with a strong willingness to learn and grow; candidates with strong potential will be considered even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated commitment to building a long-term career with the company.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
