Position Overview – We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized person to join our Compliance Team. This role is responsible for assisting the Compliance Officer with regulatory compliance matters, contract life cycle management, escalated claims appeal responses, and other special projects, as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing competing demands independently in an office setting and has strong research & independent problem solving skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
In conjunction with and under the guidance of the Compliance Officer, you will be expected to:
· Keep track of and meet state license application & renewal deadlines;
· File updated corporate information with relevant state departments;
· Create new and update existing contract templates based on Operations & Sales needs, insurance company feedback, regulatory updates, and lender requirements;
· Communicate regularly with insurance account managers regarding new & existing programs;
· Manage insurance company, state, and lender contract filing submissions;
· Serve as resource for the rest of the team regarding answers to regulatory and other workload-related questions;
· Regularly review legislative updates for items that could impact business;
· Record and respond to incoming escalated customer complaints and regulatory agency inquiries;
· Coordinate engagement of and act as company’s point of contact for legal counsel in arbitration, litigation, and miscellaneous business proceedings; and
· Work with other internal departments, executive officers, and external business partners to complete projects, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
· At least three (3) years of experience working in an office, preferably in the legal or administrative fields;
· Strong written and verbal communication skills;
· Confidence using Microsoft 365 products, specifically to track document redlines & iterations using Microsoft Word, keep up with multiple Microsoft Outlook inboxes, and navigate & build basic Microsoft Excel spreadsheets;
· Proficient in general administrative skills, including maintaining digital & physical filing and utilizing basic office equipment;
· Comfortable collaborating with both on-site and remote team members;
· Basic familiarity with contract “do’s & don’ts”; and
· Familiar with basic project management, including experience with CRMs.

Location & Hours – In-Office in Lynchburg, VA | Full-Time, Monday-Friday, either 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Pay: $42,000.00 per year
