Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School-Age After School Teacher / Pre-school After Care to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during after-school hours and pre-school care. Must have a High School Diploma and clear a background screening. Must be able to work Monday through Friday 2 PM-6:30 PM!
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after-school programs and pre-school care, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, early childhood development, and positive behavior management
- Manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior using effective classroom management techniques
- Facilitate youth group activities, outdoor play, arts and crafts, sports coaching, and educational games to keep children engaged and active
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
- Follow first aid protocols, including administering CPR or AED if necessary, to ensure immediate response to emergencies
- Support children with homework or tutoring sessions as needed while fostering a nurturing environment
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or youth programs is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire
- Background in special education or youth development programs is a plus
- Proven ability to lead team activities, supervise children outdoors safely, and facilitate engaging youth programs
- Previous experience with sports coaching, theater activities, babysitting, or camp work enhances your ability to connect with children across diverse interests

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
