Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using auto estimating software, clearly explaining recommended repairs and maintenance services
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Upsell additional services by identifying customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity
- Manage service writing documentation accurately to ensure seamless communication between customers and technicians
- Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining accurate records of all sales and payments
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business through excellent customer service
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and automotive diagnostics
- Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repair, transmission work, suspension systems, tire service, alignments, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and auto body repair
- Skilled in automotive repair techniques with mechanic experience preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently
- Proficient in auto estimating software and service writing practices
- Ability to upsell effectively while maintaining honesty and integrity in all interactions
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive sales and automobile sales processes
- Capable of handling cash transactions accurately and responsibly
