Fall Creek Falls State Park in Spencer, TN, is a preferred destination for meetings and conferences, as well as for families throughout the United States seeking vacation and camping.
We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of fostering a positive work culture and of building effective teams to provide outstanding customer service to lodge, restaurant, and cabin guests. This position has a variety of responsibilities, including the requirement that a candidate have a flexible work schedule, including the ability to work weekends and holidays. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, must have at least six years of experience in the hospitality industry, and two years’ experience as an Assistant General Manager, Room Operations Manager, or higher level of a full-service hotel or resort offering one or more dining outlets and meeting space. This position is eligible for overtime.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Lead, direct, and manage daily Lodge operations, including budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, implementation, and compliance with all Tennessee State Park policies and standards. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve concerns.
- Ensure efficient and profitable functioning of the Lodge’s day-to-day operations, including labor, productivity, and revenue generation.
- Manage lodge room accommodations, cabin accommodations, and conference reservations using the appropriate tracking systems.
- Effectively communicate with staff across all departments to ensure every area of the operation delivers excellent customer service.
- Work in a hands-on capacity, assisting in all areas of the Lodge operation as needed.
- Focus on hiring, training, and retaining a service-oriented staff. Provide coaching, training, motivation, and evaluations of the staff with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Oversee risk management. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal health and safety guidelines.
Pay: $54,744.00 per year
