Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive shopping experience will be essential in driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell items to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed.
- Assist in stocking shelves and merchandising products to optimize sales opportunities.
- Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Smoke shop/ Vape retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual candidates (english, spanish)are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction.
- Ability to show up on time is crucial.
- Ability to work independently and self-management is highly desired.
