At Gaston & Wyatt, the millwork that leaves our 65,000-square-foot shop ends up in some of the finest luxury homes in the country, from New York to Palm Beach to Boston. None of it moves through the shop without people who keep the work organized and on track. The Production Coordinator is the connective tissue between the shop floor and the office, owning job-flow visibility so craftsmen, finishers, and CNC programmers can focus on their craft. This is not a desk job. You will be on the floor every day, close to the work and the people doing it, with a clear path to grow into production leadership over time.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with maintaining the shop’s manual Kanban board, walking the floor daily to verify real job status, and updating it in real time
- Follow up with craftsmen, finishers, and CNC programmers to confirm progress, then flag stalled work to the Production Manager with the context needed to act
- Review incoming work order packets at handoff, partnering with Project Managers to complete anything missing from a work order, parts list, or BOM
- Monitor parts list accuracy and labeling throughout production, capturing amendments in the ERP promptly
- Serve as the day-to-day link among Production, Project Management, and Engineering, surfacing problems early and communicating delays before they affect timelines
