Duties
- Engage in outside sales efforts by prospecting new clients through community outreach, networking, telemarketing, and referral sources.
- Conduct comprehensive client consultations to assess insurance needs across health, life, property, casualty, and commercial lines.
- Present customized insurance policies, negotiate terms, and close sales while ensuring compliance with insurance regulations.
- Manage client relationships proactively by providing ongoing support, policy reviews, and benefits administration.
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and sales administration tools to track leads, policy details, and customer interactions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes such as HIPAA compliance, and product updates to provide expert guidance.
- Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to facilitate smooth policy issuance and claims processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of insurance products including health insurance, life insurance, property casualty insurance, and commercial insurance is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analysis tools to manage client data efficiently.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent client communication skills to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Understanding of insurance regulation standards such as HIPAA compliance for health-related policies is advantageous.
