Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Windshield Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the windshield and auto glass installation team, ensuring timely and precise service delivery.
- Perform advanced auto glass repairs, replacements, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration, and manual glass cutting when necessary.
- Oversee the handling of glass materials, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal in compliance with safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to install, fit, and repair automotive glass components across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify repair needs related to auto body damage or mechanical issues affecting glass installation.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed using auto estimating software; communicate effectively with customers about services provided.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site or off-site service appointments while adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Support the training of technicians on proper assembly techniques, power tool safety, window tinting, detailing, and other related skills.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks as needed to ensure optimal operation of service equipment and company vehicles.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive glass repair and replacement is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ADAS systems calibration following windshield replacement procedures.
- Hands-on experience with manual glass cutting techniques for custom or difficult installations.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with auto body repair, auto estimating software proficiency, and vehicle maintenance skills.
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment required for automotive glass work.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Prior leadership experience in an automotive or glass shop setting is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are essential.

Pay: $24.91 - $40.00 per hour
