Schedule: 6 days a week (This is a hands-on operational role; it is not a Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM desk job. Weekend availability and early mornings are required).
Compensation: $1,400.00 – $1,800.00 per week (Based on experience and metric-based bonuses)
Who We Are
Bravo Fleet Logistics is a highly capitalized, rapidly scaling last-mile logistics provider. Backed by an international parent company successfully managing a 70+ vehicle fleet, we are launching a new Direct Contract Award (DCA) out of the Buffalo (Cheektowaga) FedEx Ground terminal. We are looking for a proven, autonomous leader to take ownership of this operation and build a Gold-tier culture from day one.
The Role
We are seeking an elite FedEx Ground BC (Business Contact) / Operations Manager. Because ownership is managing operations across borders, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy as the general manager of this terminal footprint.
You must be a highly organized, detail-oriented leader who can triage and handle multiple critical requests simultaneously. You will actively support drivers, solve on-the-road operational challenges, and seamlessly step into a step-van to run a route yourself if there is an unforeseen call-out or crisis.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Dispatch
- Fleet Dispatch: Ensure all daily P&D routes (scaling from 8–15 initial routes up to 22) are fully staffed, trucks are operational, and routes are dispatched on time.
- Morning Execution: Lead morning activities including driver meetings, unload/reload monitoring, rental vehicle coordination, and assisting with pre-inspections and program logins.
- Network 2.0 Integration: Manage incoming combined volume, ensuring strict compliance with early morning (10:30 AM) Express commits.
- Route Optimization: Complete FedEx Route Optimization (FRO/DRO) workflows prior to the day of attendance to ensure efficient, compliant delivery maps. Collaborate with our remote engineering team to continuously refine the sandbox.
Recruiting, Onboarding & Training
- Talent Acquisition: Own the full candidate lifecycle—managing job postings, conducting timely interviews, initiating First Advantage (FADV) background checks, processing eVerify, and pushing candidates through FedEx security clearance for badging and access.
- Driver Onboarding: Conduct required road tests and manage the complete training curriculum for all new hires.
- Performance Management: Train employees on safety events and terminal software. Handle procedural violation counseling, including employee write-ups and terminations when necessary.
Compliance, Safety & Administration
- Safety Culture: Enforce a rigorous culture of safety using GroundCloud and VEDR (dash camera) metrics to coach drivers, review daily safety violations, and eliminate infractions.
- Administrative Duties: Complete weekly scheduling, process payroll preparation, and manage timesheet and time-off approvals. Maintain a professional, courteous, and prompt line of communication with Company Officers, drivers, and FedEx staff.
- Fleet Oversight: Daily monitoring, documentation, and follow-up of fleet maintenance. Execute daily live vehicle audits, manage vendor relationships for repairs, and compile monthly maintenance reports for FedEx.
Position Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 2–3 years of direct FedEx Ground Manager or BC experience is highly preferred (will consider elite managers from Amazon DSP, UPS, or DHL). A minimum of 2 years in a dedicated leadership role is required.
- Driving Experience: Must have at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years (or 5 years within the last 10).
- Clearances: Must pass a First Advantage background check, hold a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and pass a DOT physical and drug test.
- Age: Must be over 21 years of age.
- Software & Certifications:
- FRO / DRO knowledge is preferred.
- GroundCloud platform knowledge is preferred.
- DOT Trainer Certification is strongly preferred.
