Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and facility upkeep.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are met efficiently.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.
- Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing, waxing, and polishing.
- Experience in industrial cleaning environments is a plus.
- Basic facilities maintenance skills are desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
