Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders at the coffee bar and cashier station
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, making change, and balancing registers at shift end
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café area, including food handling, bussing tables, and adhering to food safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Ensure quick service in a fast-paced environment typical of quick service & fast food restaurants or cafés
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or retail environments with strong cashiering skills
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless transactions
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell products confidently to increase sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
- Experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus for food prep responsibilities
- Attention to sanitation standards for food handling and overall cleanliness in the café environment
