Duties
- Assist in developing personalized financial plans for clients by applying knowledge of estate planning, tax strategies, and investment management.
- Participate in client meetings to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and build strong relationships through effective client communication.
- Collaborate with teams on sales initiatives by understanding financial products, market trends, and industry regulations to promote suitable solutions.
- Engage in ongoing training on financial products and planning strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CFA or CFP are a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including estate planning, securities law, tax experience, and wealth management.
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment products, banking services, and regulatory environments such as FINRA standards.
- Excellent client relationship management skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

Accelerated Path to Management Program
The New York Life Accelerated Path to Management Program is designed for ambitious professionals who want to pursue a leadership career through firsthand experience as a financial professional.
You will begin by developing a client portfolio with our training program and growing client relationships and business results while receiving industry-leading training, mentorship, and development opportunities. As you progress and meet specific program requirements,¹ you can transition into management and complete a comprehensive six-month leadership development program focused on recruiting, coaching, and team development.

How It Works
Phase 1: Build Experience as a Financial Professional
In your first year, you’ll gain hands-on experience as a financial professional—building client relationships and developing a strong foundation in financial services.
Training & Resources
You will receive industry-leading training designed to help you build the skills and knowledge needed to grow in the role, mentorship from experienced financial professionals with the track record to provide hands on experience and one-on-one coaching to refine your skills and prepare you to advance into a leadership role.
Products & Solutions
Gain experience delivering a broad portfolio of insurance and financial solutions designed to help clients achieve their financial goals. New York Life offers life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, and investment products such as mutual funds, wealth management, retirement and estate planning and business solutions.
Phase 2: Transition to Associate Partner
After meeting specific performance requirements during the first 12 months as a financial professional, you will enter a specialized six-month Associate Partner training program focused on leadership, recruiting, and team development. You will learn how to recruit, coach, and develop a team of financial professionals while continuing to strengthen your leadership capabilities.
Compensation & Benefits
When you begin with New York Life as a financial professional, your income will be On Target Earnings.
If you meet the eligibility requirements and approvals to become an Associate Partner, you will receive a salary. The Associate Partner salary range is $70,304 - $150,000.
You will also be eligible for medical, dental and vision benefits, life, long-term disability and accidental death and dismemberment coverages, a pension plan, and a 401(k) savings plan.

¹Specific production and licensing requirements must be met, and approvals obtained before transitioning to field management. Once you meet all the requirements, timing of your transition to the Associate Partner role depends on openings in the Associate Partner training schedule.
