Duties
- Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, nail clipping, and styling tailored to each pet’s breed and individual needs
- Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with gentle restraint techniques to ensure safety and comfort during grooming procedures
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting tools and grooming stations after each appointment
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, provide care advice, and address any special needs or concerns
- Manage scheduling appointments efficiently while providing exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations
- Assist with pet handling and basic veterinary care tasks such as animal restraint or administering minor treatments when necessary
- Ensure the safety of pets during transport and grooming activities by practicing proper animal handling protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience that enhances your ability to manage different breeds and behaviors
- Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint methods for safe grooming and care procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and communicate effectively about pet needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for transporting pets or equipment safely
- Familiarity with kennel management, pet sitting, or equine experience that demonstrates versatility in animal handling

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
