Syncopated Synergy is looking to add an Interim or Fractional Senior Accountant to our team. You may receive guidance from your Controller/CFO or our team, but in some cases may be the primary accounting contact for the client. We value team collaboration and provide the support you need to deliver excellent results. You will have the opportunity to work with clients across a variety of industries and company sizes.

Primary Responsibilities
- Customer billings & collections
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Credit card and bank transaction entries and coding
- Month, quarter, and year-end close in conjunction with the Controller
- Reconciling the balance sheet and preparing financial statements
- Assisting in annual audit preparation
- Making recommendations for development or improvement of accounting systems, programs, and procedures
- Performing other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller or CFO
- Document processes and prepare for smooth hand-off

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (required)
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced accounting department
- Working knowledge of tax filings such as 1099s and sales tax forms
- Working knowledge of ASC 606
- Colorado residents will be considered first
Engagement Details
- Contract (1099) status or W2 Hourly
- Flexible hours but availability to meet client needs is expected
- Typically 3-9 months (or until permanent replacement is onboard)
- Average rate is $45-55/hr
