Family Focus Media, LLC is the publisher of three hyperlocal parenting lifestyle brands — Main Line Parent, Philadelphia Family, and Bucks County Parent — serving more than 400,000 Greater Philadelphia families through helpful content, events, and thriving social communities. We also serve over 400 local business and nonprofit organizations who focus on serving families with our Membership Program. We're a small, passionate team that believes deeply in Building Community, and social media is one of our most powerful tools for doing exactly that.
The Role
We're looking for a savvy, community-minded Social Media & Community Growth Coordinator to manage and grow the social presence of all three of our brands. This is a part-time (15 - 20 hours per week) independent contractor (1099) role, ideal for someone who lives and breathes local community, understands the nuances of nurturing an audience, and gets genuinely excited about turning social media engagement into real relationships — and email subscribers.
You'll steward our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn channels, working closely with the rest of our team to ensure our content shows up consistently, strategically, and in a way that reflects the warmth and authority of each brand.
What You'll Do
Content Publishing & Scheduling
- Design (Canva), schedule and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for Main Line Parent, Philadelphia Family, and Bucks County Parent
- Adapt editorial content and member features for each platform and brand's voice and audience
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence that supports our editorial calendar and seasonal programming
Paid Social & Client Campaigns
- Build and manage boosted post campaigns and paid social advertisements on behalf of our clients, as well as campaigns that serve our own brand goals: growing discovery among new local parents, establishing editorial authority, supporting our sponsor pipeline, and converting followers to email subscribers.
- Collaborate with our Marketing Operations Manager to ensure client campaigns are executed on time and aligned with campaign goals
- Monitor ad performance and provide regular reporting on key metrics
Community Growth, Email List Conversion, and Collaborations
- Develop social-to-email funnels, including lead magnets, list-building campaigns, and CTAs that feel native and compelling
- Track and report on email subscriber growth as your primary success metric
- Design collaborative campaigns that expand our reach among local parents and drive new followers into our ecosystem
- Proactively source and recruit strategic giveaway collaborations with our Members, as well as like-minded community organizations and brands who align with our Focused and Seasonal Guides.
Membership Nurturing
- Use social media as a consistent touchpoint to celebrate, recognize, and engage our Members
- Deepen Member loyalty and attract prospective members
- You're a Great Fit If You
- Have 2+ years of hands-on social media management experience, ideally for a media brand, community organization, or local business
- Are fluent in Facebook (Pages, Groups, and Ads Manager), Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Know how to write short-form copy that sounds human, not templated
- Have experience running paid social campaigns and can speak to results you've driven
- Understand that social media's real job is to build relationships — and that our email lists are where we want to deepen those relationships
- Are genuinely plugged into the Greater Philadelphia parenting or family community (a huge plus!)
- Are organized, self-directed, and comfortable working with a small, fast-moving team
- Have experience running or coordinating giveaways or brand collaborations
