Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while adhering to proper sanitation practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or upscale establishments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to boost sales while enhancing guest satisfaction.
