JOB SUMMARY:
Instructor Faculty Position with Administrative Assignment in Employer and Corporate Engagement
The E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Finance with a concurrent administrative assignment focused on employer engagement, corporate partnerships, and career initiatives.
This hybrid role combines teaching responsibilities with strategic leadership in developing employer partnerships that create career pathways for undergraduate and graduate business students. The successful candidate will help expand corporate engagement, strengthen student career outcomes, and elevate the national visibility of the college among employers and industry leaders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
75% - As a faculty member in the Department of Finance, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate business courses while bringing extensive professional experience into the classroom to connect academic concepts with real-world practice.
Teaching load and administrative assignment distribution will be determined in consultation with the Department Chair and college leadership.
25% - The Administrative Assignment will focus on strategic employer engagement and partnership development for the E. J. Ourso College of Business.

1-Employer Lead Generation: Proactively secure new opportunities with organizations that hire business graduates across multiple disciplines.

2-Regional Market Penetration: Expand and strengthen strategic employer relationships across key Gulf South industries including finance, energy, finance, advanced manufacturing, agri-business, emerging technology, and banking.

3-National Pipeline Development: Build recruitment pipelines connecting LSU business students with major out-of-state employers and Fortune 500 companies.

4-Brand Elevation: Represent the Ourso College of Business at corporate visits, industry conferences, and talent forums to promote the college’s programs, students, and value proposition.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Master's degree; MBA from an accredited institution
Specific Experience: Extensive professional career experience in finance or related fields.
Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships and engage effectively with corporate leaders and students. Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level: Master's degree; MBA from an accredited institution
Specific Experience: Prior collegiate teaching experience. Established professional network within regional or national business communities.
