The Capital Medical Society, Inc. is the local professional membership association for physicians (M.D. and D.O.), representing more than 600 licensed physician members who live and work in Leon, Gadsden, Jefferson, and Wakulla counties. A non-profit corporation, CMS is governed by an annually elected Board of Governors and focuses on physician engagement, education, advocacy and support. Our mission is “to promote the practice of medicine for the ultimate benefit of the patient.”
Since 1975, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization has operated alongside Capital Medical Society. The CMS Foundation, Inc. mission is “to support the charitable efforts of physicians and others, increase access to healthcare, promote education and serve the community’s health needs through innovative projects that are exemplary, affordable and dignified.” The CMS Foundation operates the We Care Network, which coordinates donated specialty medical and dental healthcare to low-income, uninsured adults most in need in our community. Additionally, the CMS Foundation supports scholarships awarded annually to FSU medical students and a food pantry for medical students at the Tallahassee Regional Campus of the FSU med school; operates a Physician Wellness Program for member physicians; and provides community support to local organizations that also serve the community’s health needs.
We're looking for an Operations Manager who wants more than a traditional operations role. This is an opportunity to join a respected, mission-driven organization that supports our member physicians while helping improve access to healthcare for our community's most vulnerable residents.
As a key member of our small, collaborative team, you'll work closely with the Executive Director, Board leadership, physician members, and community partners to strengthen operations, drive strategic initiatives, and support programs that make a meaningful difference. Your contributions will be visible, your ideas will be welcomed, and your work will have a direct impact on both our organization and the patients we ultimately serve.
If you're a strategic thinker who enjoys building relationships, improving processes, and contributing to a positive, supportive workplace culture, we'd love to hear from you.
