Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs to provide clear service recommendations.
- Explain repair estimates, service procedures, and vehicle diagnostics in a professional and transparent manner.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, schedule appointments, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting customer needs.
- Manage auto estimating using computer-aided tools to prepare accurate repair costs and timelines.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Background in dealership or automotive repair environments preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, collision repair, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignments, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing to generate precise work orders.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
