Predictable 2-Week Schedule
The expected full-time schedule operates on a two-week rotation:
Week 1
4 midweek days
8:30 AM-6:00 PM
1-hour lunch
Week 2
4 midweek days
8:30 AM-6:00 PM
1-hour lunch
Saturday: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Alternate Saturdays required.
The schedule provides a consistent balance between professional responsibilities and personal time, with no expectation of working every weekend.
Clinical Role & Caseload
The hospital sees approximately 10-15 patients per day, with a mixture of pre-booked appointments and walk-in cases.
You should be comfortable working independently and expect to be the sole veterinarian on site approximately 50-75% of the time.
You'll also have opportunities to work alongside experienced part-time veterinarians when they are present.
The practice generally sees demand for routine soft-tissue surgery, so applicants should be comfortable performing common surgical procedures.
For more complex cases, a board-certified surgeon can provide support, while additional internal training is available for veterinarians interested in developing their advanced soft-tissue or dental skills.
