Overview
Magnolia Oaks is a beautiful family-owned residential care home in Newport News, Virginia, providing personalized care in a comfortable home setting. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Live-In CNA who is passionate about caring for seniors and helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and independence.
Unlike large nursing facilities, you'll care for a small number of residents, allowing you to build meaningful relationships while providing high-quality, individualized care.
This is a live-in position that includes a private furnished bedroom, utilities, Wi-Fi, and meals while on duty.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Assist with toileting and incontinence care
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly
- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Accompany residents to appointments or community outings when necessary
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
- Document daily care and communicate effectively with management
Requirements
- Current Virginia CNA certification
- Experience caring for seniors or individuals with dementia preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to reside on-site as part of this live-in position.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be available for overnight on-call responsibilities as part of the live-in arrangement.
- This position requires a long-term commitment and consistent attendance

Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,200.00 per month
