Independence Preparatory Academy is a new, academically challenging, highly structured, and joyful K-8 school in Fairfield, AL. We are on a mission to equip all students with the academic tenacity and strength of character necessary to choose their destiny and create a fulfilling life. In August 2025, Independence Preparatory Academy opened its doors to 60 students in kindergarten through second grade. We will continue to grow until we reach a total capacity of 485 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. We are actively building a team that shares our belief that with rigorous academics, high-quality instruction, and character development, all students can excel in high school, college, and life.

To achieve our vision, we seek a Scholar Enrichment Coach (Character Education) who has at least 2 years of college coursework or an Associate’s degree (preferred) and at least 2-3+ years of professional experience working with children in education, youth development, counseling, leadership development, or related fields.
As a Scholar Enrichment Coach , you will facilitate character education for scholars in grades K–3 while helping them build teamwork, perseverance, discipline, and healthy habits aligned with iPrep’ s SOAR with Pride values: Service, Optimism, Agency, Resilience, and Pride.
This role will create joyful opportunities for scholars to develop socially and emotionally through structured lessons, while contributing to a positive, highly engaging school culture. We are hiring for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $45,000. Salary is competitive and aligned to experience and internal equity.
