Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Robotic Weld Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position involves operating, programming, and maintaining industrial robotic welding systems to ensure high-quality production output. Duties
- Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding systems, ensuring precise and consistent welds in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Program and troubleshoot robotic welding equipment using Fanuc controllers, PLC systems, and HMI interfaces.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of robotic systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to support system installation and repairs.
- Conduct root cause analysis for welding defects or equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize robotic welding processes within lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and quality control protocols.
- Utilize vision inspection systems and industrial controls to verify weld quality and process accuracy.
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and network issues related to automation equipment.
- Document operational procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities accurately.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating and programming industrial robotic systems, particularly Fanuc robots.
- Strong knowledge of robotics engineering, industrial controls, PLC programming (ladder logic), and HMI configuration.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems, schematics reading, and troubleshooting PLC systems installation and repair.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints; experience with tooling and machining is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as ladder logic (LD) and understanding of distributed control systems.
- Experience practicing lean manufacturing techniques within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of CGMP standards applicable to manufacturing settings.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions for process improvements.
- Familiarity with vision inspection systems, SolidWorks CAD software, and industrial automation components.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
