Looking for a change of scenery? We mean a big one. We're looking for someone from the Mississippi area ready to trade Gulf Coast humidity for salty Maine air. Tucked along the coast of Castine, Maine, Nautilus Island offers a rare opportunity to work and live in one of the most peaceful, scenic settings imaginable. We need a reliable, hard-working individual to help with general property maintenance and light landscaping on Nautilus Island. This is a hands-on outdoor role suited to someone who takes pride in keeping grounds clean, tidy, and well-maintained.

This is a seasonal position. You would work 6 days per week with intermittent shifts each day to cover morning, afternoon, and evening needs.
What You Can Expect:

A Balanced Team: You will be working alongside a Chef, Landscaper, and Island Caretaker to ensure the guests receive the best service, and the house is well kept.

Accommodations: While on the island, staff will have their own house to stay in that is separate from the main estate.
Responsibilities

Pick up and clear fallen branches and debris

Weeding garden beds and maintaining flower/planting areas
-
Weed wacking / string trimming along walkways, fence lines, and hard-to-reach areas

Leaf blowing and clearing walkways, driveways, and common areas

Light painting touch-ups (fences, railings, small structures, etc.)

General cleaning of outdoor spaces

Basic upkeep of tools and equipment used on the job

Reporting any larger maintenance or landscaping issues that need attention
Qualifications

Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or general maintenance preferred (not required)

Comfortable operating basic landscaping equipment (weed wacker, leaf blower, etc.)

Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Able to lift, bend, and be on your feet for extended periods

Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
