Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and professional Industrial Business Development Consultant to help expand our client base across manufacturing, industrial, energy, utility, municipal, and facility management sectors.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and connecting organizations with specialized asset data management and inventory services that improve operational efficiency and support long-term maintenance programs. Duties
- Develop new business opportunities within industrial markets.
- Build relationships with Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Facility Managers, Engineering Teams, and executive leadership.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and relationship development.
- Identify customer needs and recommend solutions related to asset inventories, asset data management, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) initiatives.
- Coordinate meetings and maintain communication throughout the sales process.
- Maintain an organized sales contact record and consistent follow-up with prospective clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, or industrial sales.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial operations, maintenance, reliability, or asset management.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Solid understanding of strategic planning, project management, and customer relationship management principles.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Professional, organized, and results-oriented with the ability to develop strategic business contacts that align with our organizational goals.
Compensation
This is a flexible 1099 position, fully remote opportunity with uncapped earning potential.
Compensation is performance-based, with consultants earning 6%–8% commission on the revenue generated from the projects they personally develop and secure. The commission percentage may vary based on experience, qualifications, and business development performance.
