Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in daily operations within the shop, working on small equipment/trucks, and ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This position requires a proactive individual who is eager to learn and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the shop area, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.
- Support the team with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and tracking supplies.
- Operate basic shop tools and equipment safely, including the use of an Ohmmeter for testing electrical components.
- Help with assembly tasks and product preparation as needed with other shop staff.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and directing them to appropriate resources.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and maintain high-quality standards.
- MUST have reliable transportation.
- Having a small tool box is a plus
- Expected to work 40 hours a week unless an emergency repair is needed
Skills
- Familiarity with using an Ohmmeter is highly desirable.
- Some mechanical interest and background
- Ability to learn quick
- Good listening skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new techniques or processes.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
