Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential to the overall success of our food service operations.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Assist in the organization of clean dishes and kitchen supplies for easy access by kitchen staff.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain health and safety standards.
- Help with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting cooks and other kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines set forth by the restaurant.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of culinary practices and food handling techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members in hospitality settings such as hotels or banquets.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed in the kitchen.
